As technology advances fibre optic cabling is becoming an increasing necessity in the workplace.

Fibre offers the user the option to run large packets over a greater distance than copper cable.

Our objective is to provide our Employees, Sub-contractors, Site Personnel and Clients with both a safe working environment and a safe system of work. We regularly review our working practices to ensure that best practices are adhered to or adopted and that safety hazards are identified and accidents so far as reasonably practicable are avoided. In particular we regularly monitor the safety of any equipment or machinery provided for use to employees or by Sub Contractors.

We offer the following fibre services:

Single Mode/OS1
Ideal for long distance at high bandwidth.

Multimode/OM2 and OM3
With the upcoming 10G network, bandwidth over distance is critical and the traditional Multimode Fibre (62.5µm OM1) is not suited. The new breed of Multimode fibre, 50µm OM3, is a better solution for the ever increasing demand for bandwidth.

Blown Fibre
This is a sophisticated method of installing the outer tube for the fibre, before the fibre is needed. Once installed the fibre can be blown at the convenience of the customer using very hi tech equipment.

Fusion Splicing Termination
Pre-terminated pigtails are a length of fibre cord with your choice of optical connector factory terminated at one end. These pigtails are then fusion spliced in to the installed cable.

FLUKE DSP 4000 Series Testing
The FLUKE gives an accurate measure of the total Db loss down the length of fibre. This is ideal if you just need to know if your fibre works or not. It doesn’t print out all the graphs and technical data like an OTDR.

Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) Testing
This provides a graphical view of the loss versus distance of the fibre. By testing with an OTDR, any fusion splice or connector interface along the length of a fibre link can be inspected individually to ensure it meets specification.
